Photo quality and detection confidence.
Make sure the leaf fills most of the frame and is photographed against a plain background in good light. Very blurry or heavily shadowed photos reduce detection accuracy. Try a second angle if confidence looks low.
Lay the leaf flat, fill 70%+ of the frame, use soft daylight without flash glare, and keep the camera steady. A plain contrasting background helps the model isolate the leaf.
Freezes, resets and offline behaviour.
Use the built-in App Reset from the settings menu to clear local app state. This resolves the majority of one-off issues without affecting your installed APK.
Yes — 100%. The entire detection pipeline runs on-device, so dead zones, greenhouses and remote fields never block a diagnosis. Nothing is uploaded.

CropGuard currently supports Wheat, Rice, Tomato, Jowar (Sorghum), Apple, Cherry, and Corn. More crops are added over time — let us know which one you need via feedback.
Sending results to experts and teams.
Confirm WhatsApp is installed and up to date on your device. The share action hands off to your installed messaging apps directly, so it depends on them being available. SMS works as a fallback.
