Getting the most out of every scan

A short walkthrough of the full workflow, from opening the app to acting on a diagnosis.

Three steps to a diagnosis

1

Select Crop Type

Open the app and choose your target crop — Apple, Corn, Tomato, Potato, Peach, Pepper, Strawberry, Cherry, or Grape — from the structured menu selector before you scan.

2

Capture Leaf Photo

Take a clear photo of the infected leaf against a plain background, or choose one from your gallery. Good lighting and a flat leaf give the most reliable result.

3

Review & Treat

Run the local model to view the detected condition, its symptoms, and a treatment plan you can act on immediately in the field.

Getting good results, and using what's already there

Taking a scannable photo

Lay the leaf flat against a plain, contrasting background — a sheet of paper or a clean patch of soil both work. Fill most of the frame with the leaf and avoid harsh midday glare, which can wash out discoloration the model relies on.

Reading your diagnostic report

Each report shows the detected condition first, followed by the specific symptoms the model matched against the leaf, and finally a treatment plan. If a scan looks uncertain, take a second photo from a different angle and compare results.

Reviewing scan history

Every scan is saved locally on your device, organized by crop and date, so you can track how a condition is progressing or clearing up across the season without needing a network connection.

Resetting the app

If the app behaves unexpectedly, the built-in reset option clears local app state without affecting your installed APK. Use it before reporting an issue — it resolves most one-off glitches on its own.

Sharing a report

From any diagnostic report, use the share action to send the full analysis to an agricultural expert or a teammate over WhatsApp or SMS — no account or sign-in required on their side.
